This morning I'll be doing an interview with The NeoSoul Cafe. Looking fwd to connecting with our soul music fans on the east coast sending them love and positivity in this difficult time.
Here at home,  AgapeSoul is getting ready for a live video webcast at E'xpressions on Nov 8th and the Believe in Love CD release at Yoshi's Oakland Nov 28th. New songs and special guest performances. I can't wait to hit the stage with my AgapeSoul family!

Today was a busy day like any other. Work, traffic, and counting those precious moments till the weekend begins. For the most part a good day. Then I stepped back to take look at my musical life. I'm amazed that I've had the opportunity to travel the world meeting and working with such great musicians. Now I have embarked on a new journey with my own band. It's a lot of work. But it was something I had to do for myself. There was a fire burning in me to make this move for a long time. I started  to do this several times but this was the right time!

Joe Gilman and I have quite a collection of songs. He is an amazingly talented keyboardist that made songwriting so easy and fun that it never felt like work. However these songs sat in a box of cassette tapes for far too long. I'm so glad that AgapeSoul has given them new life with this new CD . Having great singers to interpret your songs is a beautiful thing. The moment I heard Zoe sing Don't Say U love Me and Indra's vocal on Voice of Reason I know this was the right thing. I'm so grateful for the people in my life, my wife who loves me and inspires me to be the best I can. My Band, that makes me smile every time we hit the stage. And the people who hear these songs for the first time and walk away singing.... that's what it all about....

It is incredibly humbling to see and experience the love and support of friends when you take on a life long dream like this. Everyday there is a new challenge, a new obstacle, but there is always hope. The determination never slows down, but sometimes it feels like a lonely place being the band leader, songwriter, and ultimately responsible for the whole deal.
Yesterday I got a phone call from a friend who is a very well known musician that I've know for 30+ years. He reached out to say he heard the CD, loved it and wanted to help. He offered to make some calls and put me in touch with people that I would otherwise have no access to. There are now things in the works that can change the game and propel this music to unimaginable heights. This is just one example of how God's hand has touched this project. It's called AgapeSoul for a reason.

Welcome to the first official Darryl Anders~AgapeSoul blog. I wanna take this opportunity first of all to say thank you to all the friends and family that have helped make this dream come true. It has been a beautiful ride and it's only just started.
I'm excited and extremely proud to be at #1 on the UK Soul Chart as of 10/21/12. The fans in the UK have been so incredibily supportive from the very start. We feel the love and we truly appreciate it!
